Welcome, my name is David Ruiz.

I help people from many different nationalities getting established in Spain with their legal status as well as with their everyday Spanish issues.

Torrevieja Translation is my hybrid business, since I’m a fully legal translator / interpreter, and sometimes a consultant / assessor.

I’m also the founder of Official Translators, my new business to help people translating their legal documents into or from Spanish. The official translations are produced and stamped by my team of certified translators.

ENGLISH / SPANISH TRANSLATION SERVICES

There’s no need to “add” unexisting years of experience: I’ve being assisting the English-speaking community in the Costa Blanca South since August 2010.

Before all this I worked as a computer analyst / programmer for more than six years, developing software mainly using Microsoft technologies.

In July 2010 I was happily laid-off from the last job I had as a computer programmer.That was the beginning of Torrevieja Translation.

Over this time I have gained a lot of experience in many different fields running my own business.

I was born and grew up in Murcia, southeast Spain. From 2001 to 2006 I lived in Peoria, Illinois (USA), and that experience gave me the opportunity to get these college degrees:

• Associate in Applied Science in Computer Programming (Illinois Central College. Peoria, Illinois. USA)

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Franklin University. Columbus, Ohio. USA)

Although I don’t do software anymore, I’m still in touch with technology in a different way.

I’ve been learning German for three years at the Official School of Languages in Torrevieja. The upper picture was taken at the Reichstag, Berlin. The second one in Cologne. I truly love that country, so beautiful. Also, I’m learning Norwegian, but at a slower pace… jeg liker å lære norsk!
